Well, due to time constraints, PuppyBox had to be reworked into something else. SAF-T Box is the new title of the project. In SAF-T box you play the role of the multi trillion dollar containment unit built to house the world’s last and only hope against the alien invasion. Sadly, the genetic, hulking, super-mutant that was destined to save us all refused to be violent, no matter how much daytime television we showed it. Sadly, it seemed that all hope was lost for the defenseless humans, till some low pay-grade engineer realized that the box that they had built to contain the mutant was nearly indestructable by design! If the creature wouldn’t save us, perhaps the box would! A few jump jets here, a targeting system there, and bam 1 world saving cube, the SAF-T Box.

Started work today on a new Flash project that I’m dubbing PuppyBox. The goal is to submit the finnished game to the iBradley competition this year. I’m not sure if I’ll get it done in time to submit it, but I’ve made good progress so far. I’ve decided to build my own physics engine for it and this will be a great exorcise for that and for using classes, even if I don’t make it into the competition. So far all I have is functioning gravity and a box full of puppies. When you think about it, what else do you need?

I’ve also been working on  my new portfolio and web presence as the Scripting Dragon. Work has been completed  on much of the animation I set out to do. The thumbnails for the websites are correctly being pulled from www.shrinktheweb.com and I kind of like the knowledge that the image is dynamic, even if my potential employer will never know (unless I tell them). The Flash side still needs to be done, but happily the Me side is ready to go.

I recently purchased a quill that will function as my leave-behind at interviews from http://www.libertybellshop.com/ and I’ll say that I’m satisfied with the quality and doubly satisifed with the price I paid.
